Jada Williams had an explosive offensive performance for Iowa State on Wednesday night, showing that Audi Crooks is not the only scorer her opponents should fear.

After making the move to Iowa State in the offseason from the Arizona Wildcats, many NCAA fanatics were curious about the leap that Jada Williams could make on an elevated roster.

Iowa State are coming off the back of a shocking five-game losing streak after a sensational 14-0 start to the campaign. This programme needed a miracle and fast.

Throughout the season, the versatile guard has teased that a scoring masterclass was inevitable — chalking up 15+ points on seven occasions. However, inconsistencies in her efficiency hindered her ability to record an out-of-this-world stat line… until now.

Williams was simply unstoppable

In terms of inspirational performances, they do not come bigger than the masterclass that Jada Williams showcased against the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Williams recorded 44 points and eight assists, while shooting 68% from the floor and draining six of her 10 shots from deep.

The junior guard displayed her wide array of offensive attributes during this performance. Most notably, her expert footwork when attempting to create separation from her opponent.

With around five seconds remaining on the clock, Williams dazzled her opponent with several moves on the perimeter and then finished the move with a precise step-back three to extend Iowa’s lead to 19 points.

This was far from a selfish performance from the 20-year-old as her impressive antics were supplemented by a hint of playmaking genius as she continued to provide her teammates with unmissable opportunities at the rim.

Audi Crooks continued her rich vein of scoring form as Williams consistently spotted her star teammate in prime scoring positions.

Deservedly, the spotlight shines brightest on Crooks as she was the main component in Iowa State’s relentless start to their 2025-26 season; however, if this team truly wants to thrive, they must ensure that Jada Williams continues her development as an offensive talisman.
